 PT/OT Clinical Supervisor - Orthopedic Services



Responsibilities include directly supervising physical therapists and physical therapist assistants assigned to orthopedics and work closely with the Manager at the Primary Care Center and the Clinical Supervisors of Outpatient and Home Health to coordinate and develop orthopedic services. Your role includes training, supervising, assuring competencies are met and coordinate scheduling of all PT/OT aides.  Monitor scheduling of orthopedic inpatients and coordinate coverage with other clinical supervisors. Function independently within the inpatient area and is responsible for the work of others as assigned in the assessment plan of care treatment using PT/OT techniques as defined in the Illinois Practice Act in order to prevent, correct or alleviate a disability or to promote well-being.



Must have a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois. Requires postgraduate education or extensive continuing education and at least 3 years of experience in the field. Clinical supervisors have met the competencies identified in the therapist performance appraisal and are responsible for specialized areas or programs as a result of clinical expertise and ability to provide leadership. Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association is preferred.
