Three years ago, Avalon was invited by government officials from the People’s Republic of China, to bring western best practices and senior care services to China. After completing in-house due diligence and research study, Avalon concluded that post-acute services such as skilled nursing, and rehabilitative therapies are underdeveloped in China. Seniors in China suffering from Alzheimer’s, other cognitive disorders, terminal illness, and other conditions due to old age have few choices where they can receive services that preserve the quality of life. We are seeking an experienced Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist to assist us in expanding our business to China by acting as our Director of Therapy Services.
The Director of Therapy Services provides consultative services in terms of the clinical and financial operations of Avalon Health Care’s rehabilitation program. This position will plan, direct, and coordinate activities in the rehabilitation departments at Avalon facilities in mainland China to ensure that company and client goals are met.
Skills
Candidates should have proven ability to perform supervisory tasks, experience in a long-term care and/or geriatric setting, knowledge of the industry and must have excellent English and Mandarin oral/written communication and interpersonal skills as well as basic computer skills.
