The goal of this program is to help healthcare practitioners differentiate between the identification, treatment, and care of patients with left- and right-sided strokes. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —

• List risk factors and causes of stroke.
• Identify characteristic abnormal behaviors resulting from left- and right-sided strokes.
• List appropriate goals of rehabilitation for a patient who has had a stroke.
