Objectives:
The goal of this overview is to educate therapists on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of individuals diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome type I (CRPS-1). After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —
- Identify diagnostic criteria for CRPS-1.
- List diagnostic testing for CRPS-1.
- Discuss interventions shown to improve pain or function in patients with CRPS-1.

The hours awarded of this course are designated for self-study CE credit.
