The goal of this program is to help physical therapists understand the effect of providing care on the family caregiver and in particular, the employed family caregiver. After you study this information, you will be able to —

• Describe the issues and trends surrounding family caregiving.
• Discuss the effects of family caregiving when one is also employed.
• Relate the implications of family caregiving for physical therapy.
