The goal of this module is to improve physical therapists’ understanding of breast cancer, treatment options and physical therapy implications after breast surgery. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —

• Recognize risk factors associated with breast cancer.
• Discuss different treatment options and their impact on rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate understanding of physical therapy intervention following breast surgery and breast reconstruction.
