The goal of this program is to educate PTs about multidrug resistant organisms (MDROs) and discuss interventions to decrease the transmission of MDROs in physical therapy practice.

After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —

• Describe the types, transmission of, and disease process of pervasive MDROs.
• Explain the pathogenesis of prominent MDROs
• Discuss the preventative measures that healthcare providers should utilize in order to prevent the transmission of MDROs.
