The goal of this program is to provide physical therapists with an overview of osteoarthritis of the knee and evidence-based interventions that can diminish pain, enhance function, and, in some cases, prevent the need for total knee arthroplasty.

When you complete this module, you will be able to:

• Understand and discuss the epidemiology of osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee.
• Discuss nonsurgical and surgical options for individuals with knee OA related to current evidence surrounding those options, including physical therapy treatment approaches
• Discuss the relationship and benefits of weight management related to knee OA and how physical therapy intervention can assist in weight reduction
