The purpose of this module is to provide physical therapists with information about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis as well as the best treatment options for this disease. After completing this module, you will be able to —

• Understand the pathophysiology of ALS.
• Identify signs and symptoms of ALS.
• State appropriate interventions for patients depending on each stage of the disease.
