The goal of this program is to familiarize PTs with the process and results of creating a personality-sensitive workplace. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —

• Explain how understanding personality types and developing personality sensitivity improves interpersonal relationships, patient outcomes, and job satisfaction.
• Give examples of how patients benefit from receiving care that’s sensitive to their particular personality traits.
• Describe Hartman’s Color Code theory, detailing the role of motives and the strengths and limitations of its four personality types.
